Brookfield Zoo Chicago's long-standing internship program for college students is one of the top programs in the country. This program offers work-study and research opportunities in many different areas:
Animal Care Specialist interns work with experienced mentors to learn daily animal care, enrichment, and welfare.
Environmental Quality interns help assess and maintain animal habitats.
Vet Tech interns get hands-on experience in animal health at our modern hospital.
Marketing interns help promote the zoo’s programs and events and connect with the public.
All interns also complete an independent project based on their skills and interests.
