Dr. Matt completed his zoological medicine residency through the University of California Davis and San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. Throughout his career, Dr. Matt has enjoyed mentoring students, residents, and visiting veterinarians because of how their passion and expertise augment the field of zoological medicine. For Dr. Matt, the ZARD is important in strengthening relationships and collaborations between zoo clinicians and radiologists interested in zoological medicine to improve the care we can provide to animals we are responsible for. The value of this database and the growth of the relationships required to develop and maintain ZARD make supporting this important initiative a no brainer.
