Rob Turner, BVSc, PGCertSci, MVS, FANZCVS

Dr. Rob was born in Zimbabwe and had the privilege of growing up surrounded by all manner of incredible African wildlife which is what set him on the trajectory of becoming a veterinarian. His veterinary degree from Massey University, early GP career and radiology training at The University of Melbourne have taken him from New Zealand to northern and southern Australia with a stint in India doing volunteer veterinary work. In Far North Queensland, Australia, Dr. Rob was fortunate to work with native species, reptiles, marine park wildlife and local zoos. Heis fascinated by comparative anatomy and critters large and small. Dr. Rob is excited to contribute to ZARD and be part of a growing, collaborative network. What excites him the most is constant learning: understanding normal anatomy and variation across such diverse species, building knowledge from limited reference standards, and helping define the imaging features of a wide range of pathologies.
