You can help conserve Bornean orangutans
Did you know that the Bornean orangutan is critically endangered in the wild? Palm oil plantations have destroyed much of their native habitat. It is now estimated that orangutans have lost over 80% of their habitat in the last two decades. With less than 100,000 orangutans left in the wild, it’s more important than ever to protect them. Consider adopting one of the orangutans at Brookfield Zoo Chicago to help with their care and conservation here and worldwide.
