Great Bear Wilderness

Conserving our Neighbors of the North

Some of the largest land mammals of the northern hemisphere can be found inside Great Bear Wilderness. This habitat is home to three separate spaces for polar bears and brown bears, complete with rocks, water features, pools, dens, and room to roam. See Tim and Jess, the two-year-old brown bears that were rescued from Alaska after becoming orphaned. Plus, check out the polar bears: Hope and Amelia Gray, the females; and Hudson, the male and a beloved member of the Zoo family since 2006.
