Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s Sarasota Dolphin Research Program (SDRP) — based in Sarasota, Florida — sets the gold standard in wild dolphin research worldwide. As the world’s longest-running study of wild dolphins, SDRP continues to drive groundbreaking discoveries in dolphin health, behavior, genetics, and the impacts of environmental change.
In the past 10 years, over 2 million pangolins have been poached from the wild, putting them at risk of extinction. Brookfield Zoo Chicago has joined other zoos to form the North American Pangolin Consortium. Together, we use research to help protect pangolins and raise awareness about their conservation worldwide.
